A First Post

Hello to all you eager readers.

This is the beginning of the blog posts for my planned next trip to Bhopal to work as a volunteer with the Sambhavna Trust Clinic and the Chingari Rehabilitation Centre.

I have set up this blog site just this morning (Aug 28 2013) preparatory to finalising my plans and actually going.

The next post will be to announce a video of the talk I have been giving about my last trip which, with sales of my book, 3 Months in Bhopal, has raised £1500 for the Bhopal Medical Appeal (BMA), the UK based charity supporting both clinics and providing much of the day-to-day funding that enables them to provide their services free of charge to all survivors of the gas explosion and water contamination. You will be able to view it on my YouTube channel, SpineworksBodywork.

In the meantime, go there and watch the Hush Baby video.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adQWaGVzbtk

I will also put the book on Amazon as a kindle and audio when I manage to get to grips with how to do it! (Volunteer support welcome) So, even if you haven't heard about my last trip in August 2011, you can catch up with the story - the money raised will once again go to the BMA.

There is masses of background reading (and foreground too) out there on the internet and books. Some links are below to get you started if you are new to this disaster:
  • The Bhopal Medical Appeal site is at www.bhopal.org and they are often posting updates on international news and events for fundraising and for raising awareness.
I will keep you up-to-date with my activities as I progress, so look out for the video which will be appearing soon.

Just spread the word - you never know where it will reach

much love from Ian
